As a QC Technician, you will be responsible for conducting testing and inspections of switchgear and switchboard equipment to ensure product quality and compliance with both industry standards and customer requirements. Reporting directly to the Quality Manager, this position is based in Kewanee, IL.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience: Minimum of a High School Diploma. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrical technician, preferably with testing or quality inspection experience.
- Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems and quality control principles. Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment. Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail.
- Customer Focus: Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints. Strong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset. Physically able to stand, bend, and lift as required in a production environment.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Perform routine and functional testing of switchgear and switchboard equipment, including circuit breakers, relays, transformers, and control panels.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults using various testing instruments.
- Review and interpret technical specifications, drawings, and schematics to ensure accurate test procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of test results, observations, and any corrective actions taken.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop and refine test procedures.
- Support calibration and upkeep of testing equipment to ensure accurate results.
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe and compliant testing environment.
- Recommend improvements to testing workflows and documentation for better accuracy and efficiency.
- Stay current with industry standards and testing best practices.
- Handle other business duties at the discretion of management.
