JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the purchasing of raw materials, parts, supplies and equipment, outside contractor work, and office supplies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Obtains the highest quality merchandise at the lowest possible purchase cost.
- Develops and ensures all elements of the purchase commitment are completed with proper required approvals.
- Reviews requisition for accuracy, completeness, best cost, and prepares and processes assigned purchase order.
- Monitors, reorders, and purchases items needed for inventory replenishment, using MRP & ERP system.
- Creates and reconciles reports to ensure accuracy of payables &/or solves invoice issues to ensure timely payments.
- Coordinates with vendors in accuracy on availability, price, and delivery of items.
Expedites the delivery of purchases as necessary to achieve production and customer demands.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 2 to 4 years of experience required.
- May consider equivalent combination of education and experience.
