JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for overseeing the manufacturing processes and the daily production operations of manufacturing. Monitors operations for efficiency and safety, ensuring that all applicable regulatory requirements are met. Ensures all orders are delivered on-time, manufactured to company and customer quality requirements, and completed within the labor budget.
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, coordinates, and controls the daily manufacturing operations of the company through subordinate supervisors.
  • Establishes short-term and long-term goals, objectives, plans, and policies for manufacturing with General Manager approval.
  • Reviews operating results of the company, compares them to established objectives, and takes measures to correct any unsatisfactory results. Establishes tools for developing and monitoring job forecasts and overall plant forecasts.
  • Provides guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards, and procedures consistent with company and corporate goals and policies.
  • Ensures that company activities and operations are in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Establishes and maintains an effective system of communication within the company and with the General Manager and Avail Infrastructure Solutions.
  • Manages continuous improvement efforts through subordinates and the Quality Assurance Manager.
  • Manages facility schedules and staffing plans to meet demand.
  • Develops project schedules that are compatible with customer needs and internal department capability.
  • Closely monitors project progress throughout the project cycle and addresses project issues related to warranty, accounts receivable, and delivery issues.
  • Coordinates with and supports engineering in product development projects.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field preferred. 7 to 10 years of experience required.
  • Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with commercial contracts and project management.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory level experience in a manufacturing environment. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
