As a Buyer, you will play a key role in the purchasing of the highest quality raw materials, parts, supplies and equipment at the lowest possible purchase cost for the manufacturing and distribution of switchboards and switchgear equipment.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse and Material Planning Supervisor, this position is based on site in Kewanee, IL.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Education: Minimum of bachelor’s degree required – preferably Business.
- Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience required. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills: Advanced interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills and strong organizational, time-management, and analytical skills.
- Develops and ensures all elements of the purchase commitment are completed with proper required approvals.
- Negotiate with dedicated providers according to policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
- Reviews requisitions for accuracy and completeness and prepares and processes assigned purchase orders.
- Monitors, reorders, and purchases items needed for inventory replenishment.
- Creates and reconciles reports to ensure accuracy of payables.
- Coordinates with vendors in accuracy on availability, price, and deliver of items.
- Expedites the delivery of purchases as necessary to achieve production and customer demands.
