JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Drafting Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating clear, complete, and accurate product drawings, 3-D models, and bills of material.

- Experience: At least 2 years of recent experience using 3-D modeling and drafting software.
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Drafting Technology, Vocational certification, or similar field preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Must be skilled with AutoCAD and at least one of the following: Autodesk Inventor, Solidworks, ProEngineer/Creo, Catia, or Solid Edge.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy and precision in design work.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and other departments.
- Review customer-provided information and participate in design review meetings to identify factors affecting product design.
- Develop designs using knowledge of manufacturing methods and materials, coordinating with other departments to ensure manufacturability.
- Submit preliminary and approval drawing packages to customers, making necessary revisions as needed.
- Define, verify, and update bill of material requirements throughout the design process.
- Ensure accuracy by checking dimensions, materials, and relationships between parts.
- Communicate with appropriate personnel regarding material updates, design checks, and certifications during the design process.
- Submit final (certified) drawing packages to customers and monitor the manufacturing process by submitting fabrication drawings.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Pre-employment skill tests will be administered.
- This is a part-time position at our plant located in Richland, Mississippi. Local candidates only, please—remote work and relocation assistance are not available.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
