JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for inspection and identification of non-conforming material and workmanship in the fabrication and assembly (including electrical, and painting) functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Inspects all jobs in production to ensure work is being completed per company Policy and Procedures.
  • Records job progression on checklist designed for Quality Assurance; assures correct materials are used as identified on outline/legend.
  • Performs final inspection to assure the job is defined by the outline/legend and drawings and assure procedures have been followed; verifies all material has been packed and identified on the packing list prior to shipment.
  • Assists, facilitates, and trains personnel on improving the quality of company products as necessary.
  • Inspects customer-supplied materials to ensure equipment received is in compliance with legend and drawings.
  • Coordinates with shop supervisors and engineering departments to correct quality problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Supports the quality system and assist the QA Manager in updating and revising quality procedures and work instructions.
  • Reviews customer contact reports and recommend corrective action as necessary.
  • Attends a weekly production-scheduling meeting with the Master Scheduler, department leads and managers to ensure company goals are being achieved.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiar with welding, electrical, and painting processes, as well as building codes (UBC), National Electrical Code, and structural steel paint council standards
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
