Your responsibilities

  • Review project documentation: specifications, drawings and reports to ensure that applicable quality requirements are reflected in project or proposal deliverables.

  • Develop WPS`s and PQR`s and associated technology and documentation for welding and overlay processes in compliance with the applicable welding code for the project

  • Supervision of welding process: providing specialist advice on all matters of technical quality requirements and non-conformities, and liaise with external specialist as required.
  • Coordinating and supervising the work of subcontractors related to welding
  • Monitor and keep records of the qualification of welding personnel in compliance with applicable welding code requirements
  • Review and approve requisitions for purchasing of welding consumables and base materials
  • Monitor changes in relevant codes, standards and legislation and ensure effective implementation in relevant documentation, qualifications and equipment.
  • Interface with customer Quality / Welding personnel to provide direction on issues related to welding quality. Interface with Authorized Inspectors / Notified Body to explain / resolve issues related to governing Codes and Standards

Our requirements

  • Master Engineer – Mechanical Engineering with specialization at Welding or equivalent (IWE / EWE Diploma)

  • Experience min. 2 years in similar position

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

  • Ability to analyze engineering designs for welding requirements

  • Good command of English language, both written and spoken

  • Good command of MS Office applications & AutoCad LT (or similar application)

  • Practical knowledge of European standards for welding, pressure equipment and the requirements of UDT, VdTÜV Merkblatt

  • Teamwork & customer focus
