JOB SUMMARY Performs skilled maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures. Makes repairs to tools and equipment. Maintains and installs electrical systems and fixtures. Measures, cuts, bonds, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Dismantles machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.
Diagnoses mechanical problems and determines how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
Repairs machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments, electrical or electronic testing devices.
QUALIFICATIONS
No education required.
HS diploma or GED preferred.
1 to 2 years of experience required.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
