JOB SUMMARY Based in Medway, MA, we are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, analyzing, and reporting on complex financial information, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, depreciation statements, cash flow, debtor and creditor lists, repayment schedules, regulatory reports and filings for our Medway, MA location, as well as our facility in Richland, MS and international joint ventures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform more complex accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP accounting principles and standards to control the organization's financial resources and ensure that it complies with all relevant regulations, laws, and reporting requirements.
Oversee month-end closing of general ledger and sub-modules including preparing, posting, and reviewing of journal entries; prepare and/or review account reconciliations, reports, and schedules, and/or bank reconciliations.
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information and details to support expenses, tax liability, and/or other financial activities.
Prepare account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet accounts including assets and liabilities, account roll forwards, and other reports required for corporate accounting.
Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers to help them develop revenue and expense budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibilities.
Implement month-end closing improvements to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures and to ensure the most effective and efficient operations.
Collecting and analyzing data about the company’s operational costs along with developing and analyzing cost standards.
Responsible for managing all accounting and reporting functions related to the company's foreign subsidiaries in China and the Netherlands. This includes overseeing, directing, and providing guidance to foreign employees on all accounting and finance matters.The role also involves accounting for the subsidiary's ownership interests in the joint ventures in China and Saudi Arabia.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CPA preferred.
5 to 7 years of experience required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing background a plus.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Up to 10% travel nationally and internationally may be required.
