JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating quality assurance activities to ensure product quality.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate quality assurance activities and personnel to maximize effectiveness in improving quality and minimizing customer issues and warranty costs.
  • Eliminate errors by identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, and recommending process improvements.
  • Train employees on ISO program fundamentals.
  • Manage internal and external audits and assign Corrective Action Reports (CARs).
  • Update and maintain Quality Procedures Manual and related quality records.
  • Review customer contact reports and quality requirements imposed by customer specifications.
  • Manage the internal corrective action system to ensure timely completion & closure of action items.
  • Perform product and material inspections and evaluate vendor capabilities and quality.
  • Act as Management Representative for third party ISO audits.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • Experience:  At least 4 years of experience performing the above activities. Must have experience with process improvement and managing quality systems. Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. 
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred. 

COMPETENCY SUMMARY

  • Able to produce professional and accurate written documents using a computer or tablet.
  • Proficient with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and diplomacy skills.
  • Proficient in reading tape measurements and blueprints.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • The current work schedule is 5:30 am - 4:00 pm Monday -Thursday, and 5:30 am - 3:30 pm on Friday. Some Saturday mornings may also be required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Spends equal amounts of time standing, walking, and seated. Handles items weighing up to 5 lbs. 1/3 to 2/3 of time. Occasionally lifts/positions items weighing up to 40 lbs. while performing inspections. Generally requires clear color vision at close distances for reading prints and tape measurements, checking wiring, etc. *

​​​​​​​​​​​​​​WORK ENVIRONMENT 

  • Spends equal amounts of time in an industrial manufacturing area and in a temperature-controlled office area. The manufacturing area is ventilated and heated but is not air-conditioned. Will perform some inspections outdoors, in prevailing weather conditions.

Skill tests will be administered. This is a full-time position at our plant located in Richland, Mississippi. Local candidates only, please.
