As a Material Handler, you will handle and maintain a flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.

Reporting directly to the Warehouse and Material Planning Supervisor, this position is based on site in Kewanee, IL.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • Education: HS diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of experience.
  • Skills: Driver’s license required. Proficiency in computer skills is required for this position.   
WHAT YOU’LL DO
  • Accurately complete and maintain material handling data, shipping/receiving paperwork, and other data entry as required.
  • Prepare and assemble kits of materials and components as per production requirements, ensuring that all items are available and ready for assembly.
  • Assists in moving freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, or containers, by hand or using trucks, tractors, or other equipment.
  • Receives written or oral instructions for work assignments and determines appropriate material and equipment needs.
  • Assists with proper and secure loading and unloading of materials.
  • Maintains a clean and organized warehouse environment, ensuring materials are stored in designated locations and that pathways are clear for safe movement.
  • Attaches identifying tags to material and/or marks them with pertinent information.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and discarding of scrap/debris.
