Must be able to commute to Millington, Maryland daily as this position is in office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate with purchasing and production teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
- Organization and Layout
- Optimize stockroom layout for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
- Implement and maintain a systematic organization system to streamline processes.
- Ensure proper labeling and identification of all items in the stockroom.
- Quality Control
- Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to address and resolve any discrepancies.
- Implement and enforce quality standards for stockroom processes.
- Communication
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and procurement, to ensure seamless material flow.
- Communicate effectively with team members, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
- Report on stockroom metrics and performance to management.
- Safety Compliance
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for stockroom associates.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents, implementing corrective actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or inventory management is a plus.
- Proven experience in stockroom or warehouse management, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory management software.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Pay: $20.00-$24.00
