JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the CAD Drafter is responsible for carrying out drafting assignments of a routine to moderately complex nature with limited latitude in the use of initiative and independent judgment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Converts engineers' rough product design sketches into working documents by digitizing with computer aided design (CAD).
- Maintains standards by reviewing engineering drawings and supporting documentation.
- Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies between original drawings and final CAD designs.

- Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods with a moderate degree of supervision.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Two-year Associates degree required.
- Degree in engineering or drafting.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- 2 to 4 years of experience required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
